ouch - redux

In case hitting the pavement during a training race weren't enough, I managed to injure myself again only ten days later. Nicely done! Rather than doing the same boring trick, however, I basically fell over on my own, and landed with a rock lodged into my knee. (It felt about as good as one might imagine.)

No stitches (due partially to my own willful ignorance), but it doesn't hurt to bend my knee, and I am sure it will heal just fine on its own, although possibly a bit more slowly. There's a fair amount of bruising around the cut, so I'm a bit stiff walking, especially on stairs. Riding doesn't seem to bother it, and I will test that out a bit further tomorrow with a road ride.

First cross practice session is on Tuesday, but I'll be playing it by ear to see how I feel about running, dismounts and remounts.

Halfway through the bike conversion. I need to change the chain rings around, but that meant fiddling with the front derailleur and its cable. Didn't have the patience, so that's a job for tomorrow.
